We follow International Society of Arboriculture and ANSI A300 Pruning Standards.
In landscape situations, tree pruning is often desirable or necessary to increase aesthetic qualities, improve tree structure, enhance health or maintain safety. Arborists must understand the biology of trees and their basic requirements in order to optimize the health and structure of trees through pruning.
- Crown cleaning: Removal of dead, diseased, broken or weakly attached branches.
- Crown thinning: Includes crown cleaning as well as selectively removing branches to increase light and allow more air movement.
- Crown Raising: Removes lower branches to provide clearance.
- Crown Reduction: Reduces the size of the tree. Consideration should be given to the ability for a certain species to support this type of pruning.
